ATTENTION DELTA DOG OWNERS

Did you know that there are over 40 parks in Delta and none are designated ‘off leash’ for dogs? Vancouver has 31 areas, Surrey has 6 and Richmond has 5.

$C:\Documents and Settings\winxp\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\5ZJJHLWA\MCj00844100000[1].wmf$ The lack of authorized off leash dog areas in Delta is causing some dog owners to disregard the current rules in order to properly exercise and socialize their dogs. All Delta tax paying dog owners should be entitled to park facilities just like our neighboring cities / municipalities have in place.

We would like to see designated dog parks or shared park times with specific off leash times.

Some suggestions for sights so far have been for the Delta Nature Reserve and the Watershed Park
